From the moment I was old enough to identify what it was I wanted to be when I grew up, I knew I wanted to create. If I ever went too long without picking up a pencil and sketching, my whole energy would change. Creation and experimentation are the core of who I am as a person; they have allowed me to become the artist I am today. Fast forward over 11 years of arts education and jobs within the creative industry, I find myself here, at the service of others, doing what I love most.

My Creative Journey
I have always been a wandering soul. My adventures in life have taken me many places, some further than others from my home in Chester County, Pennsylvania. I have explored the endless beauty of the Serengeti in Tanzania, the lush forests of Alaska, the rolling countryside of Tuscany, and many more places of natural wonder.
Every journey I have been on has informed my artistic practice. My color palette began to morph into the ochres and olive greens of Tanzania, and the textures of plants, trees, and landscapes crept into the surfaces of my work. My thoughts are always focused on what expedition I can tackle next. No matter where I go, my connection to nature deepens and finds a home in my studio.

There is nothing more fulfilling than knowing you have been listened to and heard. Whether I am making a beautiful wedding collection to capture the unique spirit of a couple’s love, or minutely rendering the likeness of a beloved animal, connection is the core of what I do. My immersion in nature’s most beautiful landscapes, such as the Serengeti, Tuscany, and the rural farm landscapes of Chester County, PA, has given me immense love and empathy for nature and its inhabitants. To connect and see one for who they truly are is the start of my artistic process.
My personal art making process is never one simple step. It is the accumulation of layers, textures, and materials. I revel in the process. It is experimental, focused, and constantly surprising. It feeds into my endless curiosity and need to find the answer to “What if…?” My work reflects my love of experimentation and discovery of new materials. I embody the mindset of a lifelong learner.
I love the act of running my fingertips over the surface of a piece and feeling its nooks and crannies, its mountains and valleys. The crinkle of paper, the thick streaks of paint- they have a weight to them that makes the finished piece seem precious. My work embraces textures. Even as I draw a wiry-haired terrier or a sleek and smooth horse, the textures of their coats often reflect their subtle personalities. My work pays homage to the diversity of textures inherent in the ever-changing natural world.
